As Kernow's first coastal rowing club we want to promote the sport that we believe belongs in our waters!
Organised by our Treasurer Heidi Carrick enjoyed our first social Christmas Social with awards for Clare Duncan, Paddy Bayley and Jen.
A great evening for all that concluded at Five Degrees!
Thanks to our donors for the Raffle prizes and our extended Carrick family: all those that could make it, and those that couldn't, see you next year!!!
Here at Carrick we are aware how intimidating rowing can be, especially in the slim river boats we use!
It is a core value of the club to promote as varied and diverse a membership as we can! If you want to row, we will do all we can with our wonderful coaches to help you progress to whatever level you want!
If you want to go elite, our very own Penny Chuter was the coach for the National Team!
An inclusive community of welcoming members, who row, teach and train in all types of slide seat boat for the camaraderie and joy of being together on and off the water.
With one of the highest concentrations of Pilot Gig Clubs in the country Carrick Roads is no stranger to rowing. The traditional working pilot gigs that populate these waters can trace their origins to just across the water at St Mawes, and despite the gnarly winter storms even racing sculls can find shelter; if you know where to go!
The club is nothing without the support and hard work of all its members, and that also includes people like you. Follow us on Facebook and get in touch if you'd like to get involved.
We love rowing and believe it's better together. Feel free to visit during normal business hours for a chin wag and we can see about getting you in a boat.
